A prize-winning law graduate, Tim Dawn was well on his way to a PhD and the big bucks. And then… he fell for music. Backpacking through Australia and New Zealand, armed with a handful of songs and a guitar, he felt freer than ever. Back home he quit his job and moved to a petting zoo slash monumental lumber mill property in the heart of Utrecht, the Netherlands. There he works on his music and takes care of the animals.

His story is subtly reflected in his artisanal yet modern indie pop songs, which encompass both the peace and quiet of a life amongst the pigs and sheep, and the restlessness of the city. His sincere music and voice are reminiscent of artists like James Bay, Hozier and Coldplay.

Tim’s debut EP “Up” and single “Lighthouse” earned him some airplay on national radio, and a number of notable live shows, including support shows for Harry Styles and The Voice Of Holland winner Jim van der Zee. He returned to the studio to work on his new music with multi-platinum producers Huub Reijnders and Martijn Bosman. The result: authentic pop songs with a distinct sound.

In the end, he never became a lawyer. But he surely did himself justice.
